Our new rewards programme is now here with offers and giveaways from well known Nectar partners. As well as, one-off points offers to help boost your Nectar balance.

Here are a few frequently asked questions that’ll help you understand what these changes could mean for you.

Will I still automatically collect points from Sainsbury’s Energy?

No, points are no longer awarded for the following actions:

  • Welcome points when joining
  • Holding an energy contract
  • Being a dual fuel customer
  • Switching to Direct Debit
  • Submitting meter readings
  • Switching to paperless communications

Will the change mean I’ll collect fewer points?

Yes, it’s likely you’ll collect fewer points but you’ll still get other opportunities to collect as well as offers and giveaways.

How will you tell me about the new points and offers?

Every month you’ll be emailed a new and exclusive offer.  The offers will be a mixture of points and rewards from some well-known Nectar partners such as Hotel Chocolat. We’ll also be adding offers and information to nectar.com and the Nectar app.

What do I need to do?

Set up an online account and register your Nectar card to get involved. If you've already registered your Nectar card and get emails from us, you'll automatically get our reward emails.

What if I don’t have an email address?

We’re sorry, we won’t be able to send you details of our exclusive offers. But you’ll be able to check and redeem them online at sainsburysenergy.com/exclusive-offers.

What will happen to the points I’ve already collected with Sainsbury’s Energy?

Nothing, they’re yours to spend as you like. You can find a full list of ways to spend points at nectar.com.

Will the way I collect points be changing with other Nectar partners?

These changes relate to Sainsbury’s Energy only.
