Tariff Comparison Rate (TCR) is the price per unit of energy you use displayed in kWh. The unit rate uses the average, Ofgem provided, annual consumption -1 kWh will power a 40 watt light bulb for 25 hours.

Tariff Information Label (TIL) gives you the key facts about a tariff upfront and in one place. It lets you know any exit fees or special rewards that may apply to the tariff.

Q: How long will it take to transfer my account?

A: If Sainsbury’s Energy already supplies the energy at your new property, your transfer should take no more than 5 weeks. If Sainsbury’s Energy isn't the current supplier, it may take 6-8 weeks but your energy supply won't be affected in the meantime.

Q: How do I pay my bill?

A: We offer a monthly fixed Direct Debit which means you can spread your energy costs evenly throughout the year. We calculate your annual consumption and divide it into equal monthly payments, giving you the security of knowing what your energy costs are from one month to the next.

Q: What are the benefits of paying by Direct Debit?

A: Paying by Direct Debit allows you to spread the cost of your annual bills, so you don't have to pay more in winter when you use the most energy. It’s convenient and the Direct Debit guarantee gives you peace of mind that you can rely on this payment method as a reliable, safe way of paying. What’s more, you could get discounts on your energy bill and can choose which day of the month you want to make your payments.
